Thompson Turner Construction was contracted by Weston Development to deliver a major expansion to the existing 150,000 sq ft EFP facility, constructing an additional 200,000 sq ft. This significant expansion enhances the facility’s overall capacity, functionality, and efficiency, positioning EFP for future demand and increased production capabilities.
Thompson Turner’s scope of work on the expansion includes tilt wall and structural steel packages, providing a durable and flexible building shell designed for long-term performance and adaptability. In addition, the team is installing a complete fire suppression system, as well as self-performed internal concrete work and trenches to support production infrastructure, utilities, and future equipment layouts, ensuring the facility is both versatile and highly functional.
The project also includes the construction of new loading docks to improve logistics, shipping, and receiving operations, as well as general overhead electrical systems to power the expanded facility. Thompson Turner is also providing turnkey internal office structures within the expansion, creating modern workspaces to support both administrative and operational staff. In addition, Thompson Turner is installing Climate control systems to maintain appropriate conditions for both personnel and product requirements throughout the expanded facility.
Beyond the expansion project, Thompson Turner previously completed the existing upfit to the original 150,000 sq ft EFP facility in 2024, delivering interior improvements and systems that aligned with EFP’s operational needs.
