Thompson Turner Construction was selected as the CM At-Risk to renovate an existing 4,998 SF building on Savannah Highway in Charleston, SC, into a dedicated Ford Bronco dealership. The project reimagines the space while maintaining the original building footprint, creating the only stand-alone Bronco dealership on the East Coast at the time of grand opening.
Upgrades include enclosing the existing front porch to expand the showroom, which now houses display areas, a lounge, two restrooms, and a private office. A small garage at the rear of the building remains in use for accessory installations, with updates limited to paint and new plumbing fixtures in the bathroom.
Exterior improvements feature the replacement of the EIFS façade with new aluminum composite metal panels, the addition of large glass openings, and canopy projections on the west, north, and east elevations. Site work included minor parking reconfiguration—removing three parking spaces to create a fire pit area and celebration bay—along with the installation of new concrete wheel stops and landscape enhancements.
The renovation preserves the existing site circulation while transforming the structure into a bold, brand-specific experience that aligns with Ford’s Bronco identity and supports continued growth along the Charleston Savannah Highway commercial corridor.
