McMillan Pazdan Smith and Thompson Turner Construction were asked to provide design services for the Town of Timmonsville’s new community center and EMS.
These projects were designed with the goal to fill the need for a community center and additional EMS facility for the town. We were able to successfully design two buildings while staying within budgetary confinements.
Located downtown, the 3,900 SF community center is a pre-engineered metal building featuring painted steel along the entryway to create a warmer environment. The center is predominately for use by senior citizens with the option for public rental. The facility features a commercial kitchen, wellness room, common space, and activity space. The center encourages senior citizens to spend time with one another while engaging in community activities. The 3,400 SF EMS is also a pre-engineered metal building with two high bay doors for ambulances, 4 bedrooms for EMS staff, and a day room.
