Clemson University IPTAY Center

Thompson Turner Construction was selected to provide CM At-Risk services for the renovation and expansion of the IPTAY Center, attached to Frank Howard Football Stadium at Clemson University, home of the 1981, 2016 and 2018 College Football National Champions.

The center was built in 1983 and had not had any major renovations since that time. At 14,000 SF, the facility was not sufficient to accommodate its growing development staff. An expansion was needed to include office space for staff working with major gifts, annual fund raising, estate planning, stewardship, ticketing, and support spaces. After reviewing both budget and constructability, it was suggested by Thompson Turner Construction, and approved by Clemson University, to demolish the existing facility and build back a brand new 29,000 SF space with state-of-the-art aesthetics and reorganized office layout to create better functionality and efficiency in operations and overall fundraising capabilities of IPTAY.

The police department and dispatch was relocated to another site from IPTAY’s basement to free up the space for the new facility. The facility was delivered two months ahead of schedule.
