Thompson Turner Construction and Drakeford Architects were hired as the design-build team to renovate the space at 33 North Main Street in downtown Sumter, South Carolina to serve as the new location for Hamptons Restaurant.

Downtown Sumter Revitalization

The renovated facility, next to the Sumter Opera House, was restored to its former glory with an updated commercial-grade kitchen. Hamptons shares its space with next door’s La Piazza, an outdoor dining and reception area, and Rafters, an upstairs bar area with rooftop access.

La Piazza can hold up to 400 people and has a stage for a band and a green wall behind the 60-foot bar.

Rafters serves cocktails and appetizers at the bar and features a floor-to-ceiling glass wine room and a private dining room faces Main Street that can accommodate up to 14 guests.
